Walking down a pedestrian side street or twitten in Lewes, Sussex, I was greeted with this fabulous array of architectural features. Traditional napped flint walls can be clearly seen, contrasting beautifully with a red brick wall with a wooden door. Dormer windows are interspersed with what look like Victorian chimneys. Behind those there is the view of the top of a white ornate tower. Down below, the flag stone floor of the alley leads the eye down to a bollard at the end.
