Eiders (ducks) are very common in Iceland and in the rest of the Arctic area in summertime. It breeds in Arctic and some northern temperate regions, but winters somewhat farther south in temperate zones, when it can form large flocks on coastal waters.

I'm a Dutch landscape photographer, born in The Hague, june 18th 1966. I started making pictures at the age of 14, with a Yashica Minister III rangefinder. Landscape and Nature photography has always been my favorite subject, especially Italy, Scotland and Iceland are my favorite countries. I hope you will like my photographs.
