This is an image of the jetty of the small ferry from Texel to Vlieland, shot on a misty grey day. This made the posts seem to disappear into thin air. The fog on beach gave a nice calm, but also a little strange surreal atmosphere. I enhanced this by creeping close to the poles with my wide-angle lens, making the poles seem to slope at a strange angle. Finishing in a selenium grey-blue hue finished it off.

Hallo! Mijn naam is Robert Wierenga. Leuk dat je mijn werk bekijkt. Naast mijn werk als Spoedeisende Hulp arts ben ik actief als landschapsfotograaf. Het vastleggen van onze mooie wereld biedt me een mooi tegenwicht voor de hectiek binnen de ziekenhuismuren. Aangezien ik in Groningen woon, maak ik de meeste van mijn foto's in de 3 noordelijke provincies. Ik trek er graag op uit tijdens de momenten met het mooiste licht, vaak rond zonsopkomst of zonsondergang. Mijn werk kenmerkt zich door eenvoudige, sterke composities en vaak een intensief gebruik van kleur en contrast.
