The Cap San Diego is a general cargo ship and current museum ship with berth at the Überseebrücke in the Port of Hamburg and belongs to the so-called first Cap San class. The ship, built in 1961, was built as a general cargo ship and was used in liner service with South America until the 1980s.
The motor vessel Cap San Diego is the largest operational museum cargo ship in the world. It represented the pinnacle of mechanized cargo shipbuilding in Germany, with a maximum expression on board of most of the job profiles developed in cargo shipping.
