I came across this English phone box in triplicate on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. The red pops out. They are real icons. It is the most common traditional model, the K6. It was introduced in 1935 on the silver jubilee of King George V's reign. It is therefore also called the Jubilee kiosk. There are as many as 73,000 of them throughout the UK.
