Eos was in Greek mythology the goddess of the dawn. She was the daughter of the Titans of light, Hyperion and Theia, and sister of the sun god Helios and the moon goddess Selene. This is a painting with acrylics which I have created. Depth is created by using collage techniques. The orange and red colors and round shape fit well with the dawn. By using the green color as contrast are the orange and red highlighted. The blue shapes match the element air.

My name is Lida Bruinen, I was born in 1962. After years of drawing mandalas with colored pencil I was ready for more intense materials. In the past I worked with watercolors, but now I mainly choose to paint with acrylics, often in combination with collage. However, some of my work still has the spiritual touch that is characteristic of the mandala. Stimuli from the environment or my own emotions and thoughts are my source of inspiration. That which I am busy with at that moment must come out through a creative outlet. A connecting factor is the use of color. I love bright, expressive colors. My urge to express myself creatively results in a diversity of work, on which actually no label can be placed. I wish the visitor of this site much viewing pleasure.
