Colony of European bee-eaters (Merops Apiaster) in the La Brenne nature reserve in central France. The bee-eaters build tunnels in the walls of the river Ciron. In May the bee-eaters are still constructing their nest and there is a lot of activity outside the nest. A colorful and cheerful shot. An eye-catcher in any interior.
