This atmospheric collage consists of several photos and different layers of mixed media and techniques on top of each other like a sandwich. The yellow and red evening sky were added to the photos by art printing with acrylic paint and ink, among other things. Evening sky, sunset, forest, river. I keep returning to endangered nature. These are Norwegian forests and to many people it seems like we have more than enough trees...but we don't.
We have to protect what is still possible now, the red evening sky warns.
I want my work to encourage positive creativity and greater awareness for nature.

My work consists of layer upon layer of printed matter; mono/series print, photos and textiles, etc. Mixed media collage, glue and scissors. Double exposures both analogue and digital.
I use dried leaves and flowers a lot.
Because each layer is transparent, the result is a plate with depth and a recognition of texture.
I have a homemade light box and use the sun on nice days!
It is important to me that the viewer gets insight in my process.
The 'handprints' that I include in my work are reminiscent of a pre-industrial/pre-technological time when people were more closely connected to the processes of handicrafts such as weaving and knitting, but also wood and metal industries.
Layers of botanical, mysticism, fantasy and magical elements.
The art is realistic and surreal at the same time.
I am a dutch one in Norway.
