Berlin hosts an annual so-called Festival of Lights where projections on and illumination of imposing buildings can be seen. sculptures with light are also presented at various locations throughout the city. This photo was taken in 2022 on the famous Bebelplatz, located on the famous Unter den Linden. On the square on the right is the old library and on the left the State Opera. At the back left is the St Hedwigs Cathedral. In the middle behind is the Hotel de Rome.
It is an annual event that draws lots of crowds to downtown Berlin. Roads are closed to control the crowds.
