The fishing boat on the beach of Ahlbeck belong to the beach fishermen in the Kaiserbad Ahlbeck. Ahlbeck is located on the Baltic Sea island of Usedom on the longest beach in Germany. When the cutters want to go fishing on the Baltic Sea, they are pulled into the sea by a red Belarus tractor. At the end of the fishing trip, the tractor pulls them back onto the beach. On that sunny April day, they lay leisurely on the beach. Their mission in the morning sea was over. And so it became a very popular photo motif for me. A beautiful moment and an even more beautiful experience. The fish was available fresh, fried and smoked at the fish snack bar near the beach, simply delicious.
Holger Felix, born 1959, photographer from Wismar, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. I have been taking pictures since I was seven years old. I started with a simple roll film camera in b/w, model Pouva Start from 1952. In my late youth I got my first analog SLR camera. Today I am using products from Canon. I take pictures with a camera of the type Canon EOS 7D. Photography is for me passion, joy of discovery and the love of detail at the same time. For me, photography means capturing the moment of life, looking back in the present, but also rediscovering things in the future that are subject to constant change. My photographs have already been published in various media. Among other things in professional journals and in calendar publications.
