The fishing huts along the coast of France stood there quietly and peacefully. It was low tide and the fishermen would only return to their pêcherie (as the fishermen's houses in France are called) when the high tide approached, to lower their fishing nets again.
I took this photo of fishing huts, also called carrelets, in Charente-Maritime on a bright, sunny, warm day at the end of summer. In order to give the fishing huts full attention and to increase the silence in the image, I used a long shutter speed when taking this photo.
