This digital artwork is part of the 'Flowers of Earthly Delights' series. The series consists of floral still lifes of different types of flowers. For this work, I was inspired by the painting 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' by Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch. Bosch was a painter belonging to the Northern Renaissance. His three-part painting 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' depicts an earthly paradise, where the sinfulness of mankind is depicted. What particularly inspired me is that the painting is a triptych with a myriad of meanings where each has his or her own interpretation of the work. From that, this three-part series 'Flower of Earthly Delights' was born. Nice to mention is that this artwork was created using a programme that uses Artificial Intelligence. So it is a fusion of old and new art.
I am a daydreamer by profession, and inspired by nature and still life, I create digital art in the form of paintings, prints, photographs and videos.
