There are many things I love. Three of them you will find in this photo artwork.
First of all nature and everything that can be found there, but definitely also flowers in all kinds of colors and shapes. These flowers are from a salvia (Salvia microphylla). These are plants in an airy bush form with lots of little cute flowers. In the case of this salvia in the photo, the flowers are colored bright pink.
This plant has a great attraction to bees and bumblebees and I enjoy this immensely.
In the photo you can see different stages of flowering: spent flowers, flowers and buds.
Secondly, what I find super beautiful are rainbows. Of course real rainbows after a rainstorm, that I always enjoy to see. But certainly also rainbow colors. These colors look beautiful together and have a nice pattern and color gradient. So I often use rainbow colors in my photos.
Finally, I used multiple exposure here. A photographic technique in which you take several photos at once. So here is a picture of the salvia flowers combined with a picture of rainbow colors.
I put the whole in softer pastel shades to create a romantic atmosphere. Also an atmosphere that suits the summer when this plant is in bloom.
An atmospheric and special nature photo with a soft look and beautiful bokeh in the background.
I see making art as a creative process.
As a starting point for this process, I always use a photo or a painting of my own. Photography or painting is always my basis.
A photo or a painting is therefore always a fixed starting point for me in this process. I often have a plan in my head about what the end result should be, but during the process I often change direction. The effect of this is that the final work of art is different from what I had previously thought, but that only makes the creative process more fascinating for me!
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me. For example, objects in and around the house or something from nature. Every object has its own structure and shape. Beautiful lines, patterns and colours can be found everywhere.
My collection contains creative and realistic photos, special paintings, but also photos and paintings that have finally been digitally edited or distorted.
I have made all of this with great pleasure and I hope that you will enjoy the work of art that will hang on your wall!
