Pieter Struiksma Profile picture This enchanting photograph shows the iconic Zaanse Schans, shrouded in a dense morning mist. The traditional Dutch windmills stand proudly amid the serene landscape, while the rising sun casts a soft golden light over the surroundings. The combination of the fog and the warm morning light creates a magical and dreamy atmosphere, making the mills seem to float above the land. This shot was captured early in the morning, when the silence and tranquillity of nature prevailed. The misty sky emphasises the historic character of Zaanse Schans, a place where Dutch heritage comes to life. This work is perfect for lovers of rustic landscapes and classic Dutch culture.
