Francis Picabia (1879-1953), a French painter and poet, was a prominent figure in 20th century Dadaism. His artistic journey took him through various styles such as impressionism, cubism and abstract expressionism. Picabia was characterised by his versatility, constantly searching for new forms of expression.
Known for his experimental and provocative approach to art, Picabia played an important role in the Dada movement. His involvement in the publication of the magazine "291" and his participation in Dada exhibitions cemented his place in art history. Picabia was not only a painter, but also a poet who exerted a significant influence through his broad artistic output.
