The frozen fields of Deelen' is made in the area of Natuurmonumenten 'Deelerwoud'. The area consists of several forests, but also of fields with heather and grasses. Between the fields are several old paths, one of which can be seen in the background.
In the foreground you can see frozen grass which stands out slightly. The soft, warm sunlight just comes through the cold morning mist. This makes the whole look quiet, mystical, soft and somewhat melancholy.
