One of the two major train stations in Lille. The Lille-Flandres station is a beautiful classical building in the middle of the city. This photo shows the station and the square to be on the side of Rue Faidherbe on an early, sunny morning.
By the way, the facade of the station is the original facade of the well-known Gare du Nord in Paris. 14 years after that station opened, it became clear that the train station would be the small one for Paris, and the current station was built there. The old facade was moved to Lille, where it can still be seen today.
