I took this idyllic, spring-like natural landscape with the Nikon D90 camera directly after a heavy rain shower in the early evening of 26 May 2018. The smooth, harmonious and calm water surface and the reflection of the dramatic cloudy sky in the clear water of the gravel lake were a fantastic feast for the eyes and pure soul food for me "city dweller", i.e. pure relaxation and photography.

The lake can be reached from the surrounding villages of Schönfeld (about 1 km from the lake), Prenden (2 km away) and Marienwerder (about 3 km away). As is typical for gravel lakes, the water is clear and clean with a visibility depth of around two metres. The water quality was consistently rated as "excellent" from 2014 to 2018.
