This picture is abstract yet made of a realistic object. You can see a line pattern of graphic stripes moving towards each other. On the left and right sides, the lines seem to get a bit fainter. Or is it the shadow of the object photographed? Because the pattern of stripes goes towards each other in the middle, it seems like this is an entrance to an unknown territory or space. You want to walk between them and start discovering what is present behind this pattern of stripes. But where will you end up? What awaits you once you have entered the unknown? But what does your imagination indicate? What do you see in this abstract work of art without colour? This picture was created by merging three photos using multiple exposure. This a a particularly creative photo technique that allows you to create distinct and artistic works of art. I am a fan of this technique and use it often. An imaginative photo with clean lines in dark and light. There is a nice contrast between black and white and also some grey but also between sharp and not sharp. As a 'photo model' I used a metal object with paint drops on it.
I see making art as a creative process.
As a starting point for this process, I always use a photo or a painting of my own. Photography or painting is always my basis.
A photo or a painting is therefore always a fixed starting point for me in this process. I often have a plan in my head about what the end result should be, but during the process I often change direction. The effect of this is that the final work of art is different from what I had previously thought, but that only makes the creative process more fascinating for me!
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me. For example, objects in and around the house or something from nature. Every object has its own structure and shape. Beautiful lines, patterns and colours can be found everywhere.
My collection contains creative and realistic photos, special paintings, but also photos and paintings that have finally been digitally edited or distorted.
I have made all of this with great pleasure and I hope that you will enjoy the work of art that will hang on your wall!
