The photo shows the skyline of Groningen with the Kempkensberg, the white building also known as the DUO building and the Gasunie building in the background but also with the Menzis office building in front.
The Gasunie building is an office building in the south of the city of Groningen. It was built in 1994 and has a height of 89 metres. It is named after the Kempkensberg hill and has a height of 97 metres. The building is intended to replace four older office towers, which were built in the 1970s and 1980s and demolished in 2011. 1 of the offices housed the tax authorities, and the Kempkensberg is popularly known as the cruise ship. The photo was taken from a hot air balloon over the city of Groningen towards the Zuidlaardermeer lake.

"From my hometown Hoogezand, I regularly go out to take photos in the provinces of Groningen and Drenthe. Photography has always been my interest. In 2008, I bought my first SLR camera and after that I started to delve more and more into photography and photo editing and have made it my big hobby through self-study. My passion is taking landscape photos at the times of day when the light is most beautiful. Other forms of photography also have my attention such as, evening, macro, long shutter speed photography.
