Great Market Groningen focal point of the city at night.
At the foot of the Martinitoren lies the Grote Markt. A place where trade has traditionally been conducted. The square has also been home to the historic city hall for two hundred years. Here you stroll past the market stalls. Or take a seat on one of the terraces.
On the square, you are surrounded by distinctive buildings. Central is the town hall. This building from 1810 is the heart of Groningen politics. For more than 200 years, decisions on the city's future have been taken here. On the other side of the Grote Markt you will find the region's most iconic building, the Martini Tower. Wars were won and lost on the pavement of this 97-metre-high gem. The tower stood its ground and is still the city's tallest building. Climb up and look out over the whole region.
Created by Justin Sinner Photography (Photographer on Texel).
My name is Justin, I was born and raised on the beautiful Dutch island of Texel. I grew up in den Burg, main village of the island. I love being in nature, especially on the beach and in the dunes.
Everything is different every day, the sun, the sea, the landscape and the sky. Texel is a particularly suitable place for photography.
I try to give every photo its own editing, one that suits the photo and atmosphere, so you don't get the same editing on every photo, which would otherwise make it boring again.
Enjoy viewing and/or ordering my photos. Best regards, Justin - Justin Sinner Pictures - JustinSinner.co.uk - info@justinsinner.nl - 0683699094
