Ruud Peters, born in 1963 in 's-Hertogenbosch, has been working in photography for almost 40 years, mainly as product-, portrait- and weddingphotographer. 15 years ago his interest went more and more to nature, landscape and macro photography. This work has been exhibited several times in recent years, such as in Galerie de Opsteker in Amsterdam and during the photo festival in Knokke-Heist. Ruud has also been awarded in several photo competitions:- 'Nominee' in the category of 'Nature Professional' of The International Color Awards, 2006. - 1st place in the category of 'Nature, Wildlife/Pets' of The International Photography Awards Competition, 2006. - Winner in the category of 'Fine Art Pro' of The Px3 Paris Public Choice Award , 2007. - 1st place in the category of 'Lines and Forms' of the international Argus Photo Competition, 2007. - 1st place in the 'Nature Professional' category of the International Black & White Spider Awards, 2008. Portfolios have been published in the monthly magazine Grasduinen and in the Romanian magazine Photo Video Digital, as well as loose photographic work in other media. Ruud's goal is to search for the unusual in the ordinary, using light, angle and perspective as his tools. His subjects vary from landscape to architecture, from nature to abstract.
