Hay's Galleria in London is a wonderful example of urban regeneration. Supported by the London Docklands Development Corporation, Hay's Wharf and dock area and the warehouse associated with it was redeveloped in the 1980 s and is now a Grade II listed structure. A mixture of shops and offices, the centre of the development is an open market space with a glorious glass ceiling as you can see in this photo art image. In pride of place is a sculpture by David Kemp called 'The Navigators'. There are market stalls, coffee shops and restaurants and one end of the Galleria opens up to the River Thames and a wonderful view of Tower Bridge.
