This church in Krakow is extra special. It contains the footprint of Queen Jadwiga. She became queen when she was 10 years old. The history of Poland is a very rich and interesting one. This young queen was an inspiration to many. She was very compassionate, caring and strong. Also smart. She opened universities, churches and gave a construction worker her gold buckle so he could pay for his sick wife's treatment. That is why her footprint is in the wall of this church. She placed her foot on the stone to grab the gold buckle. The construction worker decided to use the stone so that we never forget Queen Jadwiga...
