In Namibia's arid and very sparsely populated landscape, small communities of Himba still live in a few locations.
Traditionally scantily clad and both hair and skin treated with a mixture of red clay, ochre and goat fat. Since, it is said, Himba women never wash themselves, this red-coloured mixture protects them perfectly from insects and the sun.
