This is Hogarty the ginger cat looking very comfortable curled up on a pile of logs away from the rain. He got his name from an elderly person who regretted that no-one in his family had been given his name. So Hogarty, or Hogie Bear as he was also known had a lot to live up to!
As with most ginger cats, Hogarty was a very gentle soul, but not very interested in cuddles. As stoke on the head was good but no further. He was born in a wood pile under some stairs and was the first ginger cat in our little group of cats.
He had some health scares. At the time he was neutered he developed a huge abscess on the side of his beautiful face that luckily returned to normal after surgery.
Unfortunately, though we still don't know what actually happened to him, Hogarty had an accident that damaged his spine and left his back legs and tail paralyzed. The damage proved irreversible and so we had him quietly and peacefully euthanized. But he will always be with us, not least in my pictures of him.
