Skipped it the first time I was in Italy, but this time I had to visit this beautiful location.
It's been abandoned for almost 50 years and it's still in a remarkable state. Built around the period of the 2nd World War, many kids have stayed here to enjoy a lovely time in the healthy environment. For the past years even the beds the kids used to sleep in were still standing nice in order. I was unlucky to discover they had been removed when I visited. Just too late, and that after nearly 50 years.
Roman Robroek is a photographer who captures forgotten places around the world. In particular, he is focused on creating stunning pho-tos of abandoned locations, rich with wonder, mystery and unanswered questions.
