The Roode Steen or Kaasmarkt is a square in the center of Hoorn, the intersection of six streets and alleys, namely, clockwise: Grote Noord, Kerkstraat, Grote Oost, Grote Havensteeg, West and Proostensteeg. The Westfries Museum and the Waag are located on the square.
