A beautiful image of the harbor of Hoorn in the West-Frisian area of the Noord-Holland Province.
Old means of transport, old houses and historic ships representing past, present and future!
Hoorn is a town located at the Markermeer, about 22 miles North of Amsterdam.
Hoorn was an important city of trade in the past and home to the Dutch East India Company (VOC-Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie ). Cape Horn (South America) was named after this Dutch town.
I am a passionate nature and wildlife photographer based in the Netherlands!
