A hunebed or dolmen is a megalithic burial chamber from the Neolithic period (4000-3000 BC) consisting of at least three, but often (many) more standing supporting stones, covered by one or more capstones. In the Netherlands you can see most hunebeds in the province of Drenthe, in most cases in the open air. In the village of Borger is the hunebedcentrum, with a lot of background information about the local hunebeds. The hunebed in the Evertsbos, forestry Anloo, is centrally located at an intersection of forest paths. This dolmen has the name/designation D11 Dolmen (the English name of a Hunebed).
