This is a special one. Due to very heavy storms at the Jökulsárlón area, very large iceblocks (3 meters high) where thrown on the black beaches. This Iceblock series is part of the black & white ones, but I wanted to keep the nice blue ice colours in the B&W photo. Just combine this one with one or more from these series, and you have a special and unique artwork for your home or office wall. And for those who are interested, this ice is over a thousand years old, once fallen as snow on the Vatnajokull glacier, then changed to very compact ice by the glaciers pressure. At the end of the glacier, large iceblocks break down into the Jokulsarlon lake where they melt untill they are small enough to flow through the Jökulsá river and finaly given back to the sea.
