There are many rocky peaks in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. These consist of sandstone.
The vegetation is rather sparse as there is a lack of nutrients.
However, there are "artists" among the plants.
These include trees such as birch and pine.
I found the latter on the Gamrig summit. It is interesting to see how the roots search for water and nutrients. This creates bizarre images.
For me as a photographer, it was an invitation to capture this tree with my camera.
