At the Jewish Museum in Berlin are, arranged in a square, 49 columns filled with soil. Olive willows grow out of the columns in this so called "Garden of Exile".
My name is Gerrit Zomerman and I live in Velp, Holland. I photograph subjects, in which the looking around plays a substantial role. I look at daily things and try to discover the exceptional image in it. It might be a detail, but it also can be an image of a larger point of view. In that image is the fascination with the play of lines, colours, shadow, black and white an important part. All these elements eventually lead to a photo you can call unique. Besides photographing I'm busy to make all kinds of fractals.
