Just outside the big city of Hanoi (Vietnam,) you will find the village of Quang Phu Cau. Which is famous for producing Incense Sticks
In this picture, you can see bundles of bamboo sticks, which have just had a coat of paint. These are standing outside in courtyard to dry, before the paste is applied. This woman places the bundles of sticks neatly apart, so they can dry in the sun
In this workshop, she made two colours, purple and the red variant. In this photo you can see the red variant
I took this photo from a four-metre-high staircase, to better visualise the pattern of the bundles.
It is a colourful sculpture with a nice pattern, of dozens of bundles of incense sticks
