Taken in an open square inside the town walls of Panicale, a medieval walled hill town in Umbria, Italy, we can see how the buildings are connected by a room or access corridor built between them with a large archway underneath which allows vehicles to pass. Dark and shady in the square thanks to the tall stone buildings, a glimpse under the archway shows you sunshine beyond.
