The jay (Garrulus glandarius), also known as the jay, 'scream jay', 'Spanish magpie', 'hannebroek' or 'meerkol', is a strikingly coloured crow. The jay is 32 to 35 cm long. The nominate form of the bird, which occurs in the Benelux, is predominantly grey brown with a pink tint. The throat, abdomen, anal area, rump and part of the hand are white. Characteristic are a broad black moustache stripe and a blue wing field consisting of light blue feathers with a fine black banding. The bird can raise its crown feathers when agitated, these are alternately light coloured with black.
Hello, nice that you take a look in my shop. So my name is Gert Hilbink, living in Coevorden. I have been doing photography since I was 13, inspired by a biology teacher at the then U.L.O. school in Coevorden. Generally I mainly photograph nature but actually find everything that can fly very interesting. If you have any questions about my work, it is possible to contact me via the contact page of my website GertPhotography.nl
