Jean de Paleologue (1855-1942), also known as Pal, was a French poster artist and illustrator of Romanian origin. He was born in Bucharest and began his artistic career in Paris, where he quickly became known for his eye-catching posters and illustrations. Pal worked with famous magazines and companies and contributed significantly to the art scene of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His works are characterised by their elegant style and vibrant colours, reflecting the influence of Art Nouveau. Pal's artistic legacy lives on in the many iconic posters he created.
