Fifteen minutes before sunrise on the Kalmthoutse heide, photographed with wide-angle lens from the fire tower, from where you have a beautiful overview. Heather is interspersed with grasses and most solidly standing trees that seem to be randomly scattered around. The color scheme is cool because the sun has no influence on it yet. That only comes when the sun appears above the horizon. In the back, you can see a beautiful atmosphere of fog patches forming over the landscape where the little trees rise above.
After a clear night and there is a lot of condensation in the air and the ground temperature drops, the fog patches or also called 'Witte wieven' arise.
