This kingfisher (male) was photographed during a winter morning in December. At the time of photographing, a sparrowhawk was making the area unsafe. As protection, this beautiful bird takes the extension of the pole from which he was fishing. They call this the so-called"pole position", which made him less visible to the raptor nearby. Once the danger had passed, he patiently waited again for a first fish to pass by to take it. Wonderful to watch!
Hello, my name is An and I have been intensively involved in nature photography since the end of 2019. What started as a hobby has currently become a real passion. This passion for photography brings me closer to nature, gives me peace and relaxation, lets me experience nature. For me, photography means above all pure experience; listening and looking, listening and looking again, again and again... With respect for the environment and nature, I try to capture our natural beauty as well as I can and allow myself to be surprised by everything that briefly wants to pass in front of my lens. Every encounter in nature has something magical and I try to convey this in my images.... Welcome to my Work on the Wall - shop!
