Kitesurfer on the North Sea near Noordwijk.
Kitesurfing is a spectacular water sport in which you are pulled forward by a kite while standing on a board.
The kite is attached to your waist by a harness, pulling you forward.
Kitesurfing consists of two words: kite (the kite) and surf (going through the waves on a small board). Kitesurfing is also known as kiteboarding. Kitesurfing is counted among extreme sports. Because of the large kite, it is also possible to make high jumps and you can reach speeds up to and including 80 km per hour. Therefore, it is important to always take kitesurfing lessons from certified instructors before you start kitesurfing to avoid accidents.
