One of my most favorite streets in Middelburg is the Kuiperspoort. This little street, surrounded by buildings and warehouses , dates back to the time of the VOC . At the head of the street is a gate building. This picture was taken in the early morning, well before sunrise, at the time what photographers call the blue hour. During this so-called blue hour there is a nice balance between the natural light and the city light. The sky can then turn a deep dark blue. The buildings, the cobblestone street and the city light give the photo a nice picturesque atmosphere.
