La Orotava is a municipality in the Spanish province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Canary Islands region with an area of 207 km². La Orotava has 41,294 inhabitants (1 January 2016). The municipality is located on the island of Tenerife in the Orotava Valley.
The town is known for its old houses with typical balconies although there is some overdue maintenance here and there....
