Lancia Flavia Sport "Zagato" (1962-1967) is a sports car of the upper middle class, for whose design Ercole Spada was responsible. It was created mainly for motorsport, of which there are only 625 Sport Zagatos in lightweight construction, plus two prototypes that looked even more radical, the Lancia Flavia Super Sport and Lancia Flavia SS Zagato, designed and tested by Elio Zagato and Ercole Spada, which were presented at the 1967 Turin Motor Show.
The Lancia Flavia was also the first Italian car with a boxer engine and front-wheel drive. This concept of "everything forwards" was developed by the engineer Antonia Fessia and for the first time in Italy, disc brakes were fitted as standard on all four wheels, which also served to improve safety.
In 1969, after the takeover by Fiat, the Flavia models were discontinued a short time later after only 41,114 units had been produced. The Lancia Flavia was therefore the last model to be developed completely independently.

I have been practicing vintage car photography for more than 35 years and here I mainly photograph normal everyday vehicles which were still on the road en masse over 30 years ago. But also cars with extraordinary, beautiful design. From time to time I take pictures of cars, motorcycles and trucks of recent times, when they have particularly beautiful shapes, curves and somehow tempt to dream and drive like a BMW Z8. I find these automotive beauties not only in museums, but also in specialized workshops for vintage cars, with collectors who have invited me to photograph their classics or often in dark, dusty sheds and halls or simply parked at the roadside.
