Landing U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle.
Registration: 91-0312.
Squadron: 494 Fighter Squadron.
The F-15 was designed by McDonnell Douglas when the US Air Force was looking for a successor to the legendary McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II.
The first test flight of an F-15A took place in July 1972. The first flight of a two-seat TF-15A trainer (it was later renamed the F-15B) was exactly one year later in July 1973. The first F-15B Eagles were delivered in November 1974, and from January 1976 the first USAF squadron was operational with the aircraft.

I am Jaap van den Berg and photography has become a great passion of mine since 2010. Since then I travel all over the world to take pictures of military aircrafts. But besides aircraft I also love to photograph other subjects like landscapes, architecture, flowers, animals, ships and cranes. Evening photography and macro photography are also something I enjoy doing.
