A sunrise at Boezem mill no. 6, in Haastrecht. The area around the mill is also called the Hooge Boezem, it is the highest bosom in the mill that was ever present here.
My photography specialities are landscapes and cityscapes. Through post-processing, I try to make the photos look as realistic as possible: as I saw and felt the situation at the moment, I try to convey this in the final result. As this is sometimes impossible due to camera or lens limitations, post-processing helps me out. Furthermore, I am not a professional, I cannot be hired (yet), nor have I followed any photography studies or courses. A practised hobbyist, I call myself. Practised because I have now had my camera since May 2009, which I really started to use actively a year later (page on Flickr, reading up on theory, etc.). Before that, I was still using it as a point-and-shoot camera, just like the ones I had before. I developed myself I think by reading and trying a lot. I never took any courses or the like, I taught myself everything by learning from others. I hope you like my works! Enjoy watching (you can also do so on my more extensive photostream on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/stephanneven)!!!
