In the northernmost part of the French region of Brittany you will find a beautiful place. This Breton pearl has beautiful yellow to orange and pink coloured rocks and jagged coastlines by the water in wonderful shades of blue and green. The rocks at Plougrescant are impressive. The photo was taken with a ten stops nd filter to give the water a soft look and to get some peace in the image. This way also the rocks can get some attention.
Karla Leeftink prefers to photograph in the peace and quiet of early mornings with a hint of mysterious mist. The Drentsche-Aa region and the Reest valley are ideal for this with their frequently occurring misty landscapes. She also likes the wide open Wadden Sea landscapes and rough Norwegian fjord landscapes. Standing under the stars she is in her element and impressed by creation. In a frozen puddle and on knots of trees she spontaneously sees abstract works of art before her.
At her nature presentations she enthusiastically shares her nature experiences and lets others enjoy them with the help of her photo and video material. She has set up a line of cards with about a hundred cards, in which she has incorporated her own photos. She contributes photos to magazines and is author of the book "Reeën het jaar rond ".
