In sculpture and painting, a putto (plural: putti or putti's) or amoretto is a chubby child figure, almost always male and usually nude. If the child has wings, it is also called a cherub. Putti are mainly found in the Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo art.
Francois Boucher (Paris, France 29 September 1703 - 30 May 1770) was a painter from the French school of the rococo. In 1723, he won the Grand Prix competition. The artist is known for his lovely, sweet paintings with sensual undertones.
