Rue de la Republique is considered Lyon's most prominent street and the city's main shopping street. The architecture is primarily influenced by the Haussmann style from the time when the street was built. In addition, we see two other defining buildings here, the Art Deco style Cinema Pathé (with a golden rooster on the spire, 1932) by Eugène Chirié and the former headquarters of Le Progrés magazine near the right edge of the image. This image montage of the Rue de la Republique was created from several multi-perspective shots.
