The round headers from Magirus Deutz were a completely new design and the so-called round headers were created for the first time. They were built from 1952-1967 with a planetary gear, hence the model names for planets and stars (Jupiter, Mercury, Pluto, Saturn, Sirius, Uranus). At the express request of the Swiss Post, they continued to be built until 1971 (1,000 units). So this Magirus Deutz is a Sirius D7L with 90 HP and 6 cylinders and was at that time a mail van.

I have been practicing vintage car photography for more than 35 years and here I mainly photograph normal everyday vehicles which were still on the road en masse over 30 years ago. But also cars with extraordinary, beautiful design. From time to time I take pictures of cars, motorcycles and trucks of recent times, when they have particularly beautiful shapes, curves and somehow tempt to dream and drive like a BMW Z8. I find these automotive beauties not only in museums, but also in specialized workshops for vintage cars, with collectors who have invited me to photograph their classics or often in dark, dusty sheds and halls or simply parked at the roadside.
