An unusual and abstract pattern of curved lines and circles and dots in different sizes.
The gold-coloured circles and dots contain different shades and textures that blend together beautifully. The turquoise-coloured background of curved lines contrasts beautifully with the gold.
The gold dots seem to dissolve into the dark distance at the top right, an infinite darkness.
But what is it you are looking at? Where does that sparkle come from? Is the light coming from the sun or from an 'ordinary' lamp? And if this is a detail of an object, what does the rest of this object look like? Lovely to let your imagination run wild and daydream here! The pattern of circles and dots also has a calming feel to it, it makes you feel zen.
For this artwork, I used two ordinary utensils made of glass. The two photos of these glass objects were digitally superimposed and further processed to create this special and artistic artwork.
Ordinary objects are often an inspiration for me, challenging me to create extraordinary art with them, with photography always being my basis.
The atmosphere of this artwork is magical, soothing and intriguing. But it also has a luxurious and chic feel due to the use of gold combined with the beautiful turquoise.
I see making art as a creative process.
As a starting point for this process, I always use a photo or a painting of my own. Photography or painting is always my basis.
A photo or a painting is therefore always a fixed starting point for me in this process. I often have a plan in my head about what the end result should be, but during the process I often change direction. The effect of this is that the final work of art is different from what I had previously thought, but that only makes the creative process more fascinating for me!
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me. For example, objects in and around the house or something from nature. Every object has its own structure and shape. Beautiful lines, patterns and colours can be found everywhere.
My collection contains creative and realistic photos, special paintings, but also photos and paintings that have finally been digitally edited or distorted.
I have made all of this with great pleasure and I hope that you will enjoy the work of art that will hang on your wall!
